Chiefs

I learned to my most pleasant surprise, that because of the Chiefs win at San Diego and The Raiders loss in Denver, the Chiefs now have a playoff first round bye and a home game in the second round.  That is good.  I do hope they persevere and don't blow this opportunity.  We have seen the bitter dregs of disappointment before and would like to avoid it this year.

SPIN

Here it is, the middle of the year 2014.  We are seeing and hearing about a lot of strange events in the new.  However, most of the coverage seems to be superfluous and not needed.  Why do we need 24/7 news channels?  Why are news people becoming more important than the news itself?  Why are new person's opinions always injected into the news?  Why so much spin?

Meanderings??!!

Why is it that we have a Congress that listens to much to the views of the extreme left and the extreme right?  If most of the people in the country lean towards the center, shouldn't the elected representatives in the House and the Senate listen more to the center?  Why can't the elected representatives of the House and Senate of our Congress learn to do their job.  Pass the budget, timely,  pass the needed legislation, and then go home.  Why do we need full time politicians?  Wouldn't the country save more if Congress was on a part-time basis and the Representatives and Senators had to work at real jobs away from the nation's capitol?


Why do we have to have so much "spin" in the news?  Why are the media making the news rather than reporting the verified true news?  What is their hurry?

And why are there broadcasts of fictional stuff called reality shows?  Why has entertainment sunk so low?
